The capital we invest is our own. This enables us to be more creative, flexible and patient than most venture investors. Over the last decade we’ve funded 42 start-ups and collaborated with some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs to create world-class companies: 70% of the start-ups we’ve invested in have either gone public, been acquired, or continue to grow as independent businesses.

Our focus is early stage investments in sectors we understand – software and web services, networking, and semiconductors. We like to invest in a start-up’s seed or series A rounds and our initial investments are usually in the $250,000 to $5 million range. Most of the start-ups we invest in are on the West Coast, primarily in Silicon Valley, although we will look at opportunities in other parts of the US and Canada.
